Greetings and Happy Easter, Chag Pesach sameach, Ramadan Mubarak, Happy Theravada New Year, Happy Mahavir Jayanti, Happy Vaisakhi, and lastly Happy Earth Day (on Friday),
I hope you all have had an enjoyable and relaxing weekend.
This week we will continue looking at the control of gaseous pollutants. On Monday we will look at incineration. On Wednesday: condensers and pollution prevention. And on Friday we will look at a case study in Taichung, Taiwan that I did when on sabbatical at Feng Chia University in 2019.
The homework that is due this week is on adsorption and absorption. Participation Question 13 is also due on Wednesday. If you need the grace period, just let me know.
I have an all-day meeting on Friday. We will have class, but I will not hold office hours. If you would like to meet on Friday, just let me know and we can arrange a time.
I've posted a new job announcement on the blog (with HDR). Also, if you are interested in becoming involved in a groundwater study in Watertown Township this summer, please let me know. It comes with a $600 scholarship/fellowship. If interested, please complete this Google form: https://forms.gle/g5hyLTe8wTjSfxnN8. The students that were involved last summer wrote the Bath and Dewitt Township reports that you can find here: https://www.mitcrpc.org/groundwater-survey. They completed the study as an ENE 492 (independent study project). If interested or if you have questions, feel free to let me know.
