Arcadis, is hiring in Lansing, Novi, and Detroit. The role is for both entry-level geologists and engineers. About 75% of the first year or so is primarily field work, geared toward collecting groundwater, soil, vapor, and wastewater samples, as well as providing oversight of system O&M and remediation system installations. The transition to more office work typically happens after being around a year or so and involves task managing, data analysis/QC, reporting, and designing systems. Delhi Township, just about 10 miles from campus, has 2 to 3 summer internships available to work on wastewater sample collection to support new initiatives and asset management. This is a great introduction to the industry and we have had several students work at the plant in the past.
