Good evening,
I hope you all had a relaxing Spring Break! Spring is near, even despite this weekend's snowfall and cold. We saw the first robins the other day. The Sandhill cranes and the geese are back, along with the red-winged black birds and a whole host of other birds I can't identify. Today's walk in the woods was filled with the sound of the returning birds.
This week we will start the unit on modeling ambient air quality. We'll start with box models on Monday and then move to dispersion modeling later in the week. I will also discuss Project 2 this week.
This week (Wednesday 3/16/2022), the homework assignments that will be due are:
Clean Air Act
Meteorology
Participation Question 8
If you need the grace period, just let me know.
On Monday, I will post grades for Project 1 and send the graded rubrics to the groups.
Project 2 is also posted and it is due March 30th. Project 2 focuses on indoor air quality and again you will be able to choose from numerous options. I moved the due date back a week to give you more time to complete your reports after receiving your Project 1 grade and rubric.
Holly Demers will continue to be in class to assist with setting up Zoom and moderating questions.
See you in class tomorrow,
Dr. Masten
